All women are beautiful in one or another way. I do not care
either a man likes or dislikes me but all I demand is respect as a human being.
I am a 24 year old woman and I want to get rid of verbal abuse of men. Women
are forgiving by nature. I have lost sense of who I am and what I want with my
life due to excessive verbal abuse. When I say verbal abuse it is not necessary
the abusive language but it starts from calling a woman inferior, rejection,
snubbing, degrading her, rigidness with her and so on .
In all religions women has got the utmost respect in human
race. Women are the ones who brings all
men in the world .Then why always women are being bullied and seen as an
inferior creature and are known as dumb creature by nature. Men don’t realize
that treating women bad which causes her
to lose self-esteem, self-respect and self-confidence. Being a Pakistani woman I
have grown up seeing men seeking control over women .I have seen my father
yelling at my mother and always having a superior hold on her being a man, but
does it do any good to women? By seeking control over women and making her feel
an inferior or weak will not help the
cause. It actually leads women to go into traumas which could be in form of
depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and low self-esteem.
Men disrespecting women is one major issue in the world
which has destroyed millions or even more lives and homes. I do not say women
are perfect, but regardless of what race , color , profession women are from
they deserve the most respect as a human being. In most cases the dangerous
bullying is caused to women are by the loved ones or people they are close to.
No women are safe here, most men starts learning it from home when children see
their father disrespecting their mother the chances are more to behave in same
disrespectful manner towards other women.
Most men think that religion says women are weak by nature
and men are strong but religion didn’t mean this in a way in which the men in
world have followed it. Religion does say women are dependent on men and they are their protectors and providers of food
etc. Because now men has the
perspective women are inferior to them so they seek control, talk to them
rudely, snub them, ignores them , treats them like an animal, and much more.
But we women as I said earlier are forgiving by nature who has been embedded in
minds to compromise and stay silent which even encourages men more to continue
such behavior.
Lastly, most reasons men having disrespectful attitude
towards women in their lives is their own problems like work issues, financial
issues, past relations. For every wrong thing in their life the trend is to blame women for all their
troubles in life, even if they are getting white hairs or white beard that’s is
considered to be a women fault.
Like every single women in the world I have faced the same
where I have been abused mentally, verbally, emotionally. But when this trend
would change how we can STOP men from disrespecting women. As a matter of fact
some men don’t even realize the effect of their actions on women. I have been
following one Indian Tv reality show where almost every episode is on violence
and disrespecting women and considering her the most waste and burden or reason
for all troubles in men lives. I even know men who say having women in life is
a bad idea but they they fail to realize if they exist in the world that is
also due to a woman.
This needs to stop. We need to educate men to make world a
better place. As I said earlier I do not care if a man likes me or dislikes me
all I demand is RESPECT as a human being .
